About Sofitel SPA

Located at Bayerstraße 12, 80335 München, Sofitel SPA operates as a nagelstudio serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as fitnessstudio, wellnesszentrum, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

For beauty and wellness businesses, it is worth asking how long the treatment takes, whether the quoted price includes VAT and what the cancellation policy is. Popular slots fill quickly, so book early. German saunas and thermal baths have their own etiquette: most sauna areas are textile-free (no swimwear), you sit on your towel, you shower before every session, and the Aufguss, the attendant's steam ritual, runs to a posted timetable.

Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–9 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 089 599482981. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is sofitel-munich.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 80 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

The spa area need a great consideration to have a bigger place for relax room. It's just way too small to get a place to lay down and relaxing. The sauna is small and dark. I was expecting more from Sofitel since it is expensive to stay there, but now I am not sure to come back again.

I received two massages here, the first one was honestly extremely meh and very uneven between each side of my body what was provided, but I’m so glad I came back for a second massage, because the other woman was excellent, I wish I could tell you her name! a woman from Greece with a beautiful Greek name, I asked Adrienn at the front desk to tell me her name, so I could write a review, she wrote down Katy which I don’t think is correct, but if you get the Massuse from Greece prepare for an excellent massage, she was very confident in her movements and with a very strong awareness of trigger points and muscle anatomy. Adrienn at the front desk was also very helpful and kind.

The SPA is nice and cozy; however, the service at the reception was disappointing. The man with long hair couldn’t find my reservation and insisted that I pay again. I had to send him the payment confirmation by email twice, and he treated me as if I were lying because he hadn't received it. This made the experience quite stressful right from the start — a paradoxical situation for a spa.

Was staying at this hotel and decided to get a massage, which was a waste of money. I asked for deep tissue and instead of slow, deep strokes she gave me light rapid strokes. The massage was not relaxing at all due to her moving at such a rapid pace and the room was freezing. Quite possibly the worst massage I’ve ever had and it was very expensive. The spa itself was nice enough but I expected a jacuzzi and there wasn’t one.

For the price I wasn't impressed, there were much better spas in Germany for a fraction of the cost. I booked a 60 min massage through their online website, which came out to €125. I arrived early so I was given a tour and inquired about the day spa which was €39, I decided to add on the day pass and hang out before my massage. The pool was suit required and open to hotel guests so there were kids in it, which I was unable to use cause I hadn't brought my suit with me. The sauna area was adults only and had only 3 saunas, very small compared to other spots I've been in Germany. My massage was decent, I was given fresh fruit and water before leaving.
