Smash ist die "neue Art" des Burger Bratens aus Amerika. Unsere Frischfleisch Patties aus regionalem Weiderindfleisch werden auf dem Grill stark angedrückt / gesmasht, sanft verrieben und somit in ihren eigenen Röstaromen saftig angebraten. Dadurch entsteht eine aromatische, karamellisierte Kruste, welche den Burger ganz besonders schmecken lässt. All unsere Burger werden zusätzlich auch vegetarisch und vegan angeboten!

Stay away from this “restaurant”. Portions aren’t small, they are a joke. Would be understandable if they price matched or at least it tasted good. Reason for the good reviews: they offer a free shot if you leave a review that you have to show them…

If you’re looking for one of the best new food spots in Munich, Smash or Pass absolutely delivers. We visited recently and it’s easily the standout restaurant we’ve tried in 2026 so far. The food was excellent across the board. The smash burgers were packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and well-balanced. The Giggly Smash Burger and Smokey Chipotle Smash Burger both stood out, while the Candy Cowboy Burger added something a bit different with a sweet and savoury twist. The sides were just as impressive. The parmesan truffle fries were crispy and rich, the bacon and cheese loaded fries were indulgent, and the popcorn chicken with parmesan garlic had great flavour and texture. Drinks were spot on too — the Himbeer Mojito was fresh and refreshing, and the Gin and Tonic was well made. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere had a really cool, relaxed vibe without feeling overcrowded. Prices felt very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Overall, this is easily one of Munich’s must-visit spots right now. Highly recommended.

We arrived to this place around 7 pm was almost full. They seated us at the bar because there were no tables available, but that was no problem for us. We ordered double cheeseburgers with truffle fries on the side. Both were incredibly delicious. We had Paulner beer to go with them. The service takes a bit of time, but the crowd explains that. But it's really worth the wait. If I ever come back to Munich, I'll definitely stop by here again. 🍔🍟👌

A great place in a quiet area of Munich. The atmosphere is relaxed, there are different types of tables: bar counters, sofas and ordinary tables with chairs. The staff is very nice and pleasant. The menu includes a variety of burger options at very affordable prices. You can choose a burger with one cutlet or two. Also a large set of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We took Smash Giggly Burger and French fries with garlic sauce. Everything was fine, but the burger lacked a bit of richness. He also didn't keep his shape well and fell apart in his hands. French fries were fried with excess oil. Tasty, but not healthy. They give a free shot for a review, but this is not a mandatory option. On Sunday evening, the place was half free.

We stopped by late at night because the kids wanted burgers, and this was one of the few places still open. Even though it was late, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The burgers were delicious; well-cooked and made with quality beef. We were very happy with both the flavor and the service, and I would definitely recommend it. Just a note: the name has changed to Smash or Pass Burger and Bar.
