For anything on wheels, from a tyre change to a new vehicle, the basics apply: confirm the price up front, ask about the warranty on parts and labour, and get a receipt. Third-party insurance is compulsory, and the dealer will usually arrange the registration (Zulassung) and number plates for you. Busy periods are the tyre-change weeks in spring and autumn and the days before the summer holidays, and breakdown cover through ADAC or your insurer is worth having.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–12 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.
