I think I expected too much after reading the previous reviews. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype. The xiao long bao was a disappointment—the wrapper tasted undercooked. The dumpling rolls were also served after our main course. The crispy duck was the highlight and was really good, but despite asking for two bowls of rice when ordering, only one arrived. The second bowl came about 15 minutes later when we were almost done eating. The staff were friendly, but it was difficult to communicate as they didn’t speak much English. It was good to try the place once, but it’s not somewhere we’ll be coming back to.

Amazing food! We came for lunch, and the dim sum was incredibly authentic. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our favorites were the shrimp dumplings and the braised pork belly (B2). We’ll definitely be back again soon!

My new favourite restaurant in Munich. Three sisters can cook! We ordered almost the whole dim sum menu and it was the best dim sum I’ve had in Munich, freshly made by a cook from Guangzhou and authentic.

I went to try San Jie Mei after I happened to see a post about the owner and her friends renovating the restaurant, and I found it very cute 😂 The restaurant's decor is beautiful, cozy yet modern, with warm yellow lighting and a bar area that looks incredibly chill. The staff are also friendly, caring. Tbh some dishes come out quite quickly, some need to wait but this is their first month so it’s acceptable. My favorite dish is probably the tonkatsu, the crispy crust is perfectly cooked, the meat inside is still tender and juicy, and it's served with a runny egg and a super delicious sauce. The shrimp dim sum is fresh, the wrappers aren't soggy, and the fish roe topping looks pretty and tastes funny. The roast duck has crispy skin and flavorful meat with fantastic dipping sauce. The most surprising dish is the fried intestines, they're crispy and fragrant without any unpleasant smell, spicy Sichuan-style flavor is incredibly addictive. I would say the restaurant is both beautiful and delicious, perfect for a meal with friends or a relaxing date. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu 🫶
