Otto Felix Kanitz Haus SJD die Falken

Located at Adolf-Braun-Straße 42, 90429 Nürnberg-West, Otto Felix Kanitz Haus SJD die Falken operates as a hostel serving Nürnberg in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

When booking accommodation or travel services in Germany, confirm the check-in window, whether the rate includes breakfast and the local city tax (Kurtaxe or Bettensteuer), and what the cancellation terms are; pensions and Gasthöfe are often family-run and appreciate notice. Reviews that mention noise, bed size, Wi-Fi and cleanliness are usually the most useful. Prices jump around trade fairs, the Christmas markets, Oktoberfest and the summer school holidays, so book early for those dates.

Opening hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Nürnberg keep standard hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on the weekly Ruhetag, on Sundays and over the Christmas and Easter holidays. The listed phone number is 0911 443709. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is ofkh.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 62 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for hostels in Nürnberg. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.

Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Nürnberg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.
