München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

The outside door was fun however when me and my mom got in the inside pool to swim as we just got to the deep side the main lifeguard immediately came up to us and told us we can not swim in this side, but me and my mom are good swimmers when we went to other pools such as the Volksbad the lifeguard even gave a thumbs up to my mom but the lady at the reception was nice to us. But overall I think it was a racist experience. Though the facility was clean so if you are a german I think it would be a great experience for you.

Unfriendly staff and terrible experience for visiting family I have been to Nordbad in the past, but my recent experience with my parents, who are visiting me from India, was highly disappointing. My mother is an experienced, capable swimmer and has been swimming for years. However, the staff refused to let her cross into the deeper section and unfairly claiming she didn't know how to swim. We completely understand that lifeguards have to maintain safety, but the way they handled it was incredibly dismissive. We politely asked them to just give her one chance to demonstrate her skills so they could see for themselves, but they refused without a second thought. Even other local visitors who witnessed the interaction noticed how unfriendly and rigid the staff's behavior was and apologized to us on their behalf. Safety is important, but it should be enforced with respect and professionalism, not rudeness. Will not be bringing guests here again.

The swimming pool looks a bit like an old Roman swimming pool from inside. Some people might like the look, but I don't. The water is really cold compared to other public swimming pools in Munich. Feels like at least 2 degrees colder. The jacuzzi just has bubbles on 2 places by design, there are just nozzles that spew out water on two places. The other 4 people that might have space in there get no bubbles at all... The steam bath is good though. And the small pool outside is also ok when everything is actually working.

🏊‍♀️ Nordbad – A stylish dip (with a side of hypothermia) The water? Refreshing… as in “Did I just fall into a glacier?” Perfect for swimming – if you enjoy swimming for survival. 😬 There’s a hot tub, too – but it’s usually packed. So unless you like sharing bubbles with strangers, good luck getting in! 😅 Bonus: Steam room and warm pool. That’s where you slowly defrost and question all your life choices, starting with “Why did I go in the cold pool first?” Clean, a bit vintage, but full of personality. 🌟 4 stars – because I found my toes again.

One of the major reasons I go to Nordbad is definitely for the Sauna Area. It has so much to offer my favorite though is the outdoor sauna and the fact the you get an hourly sauna Infusion not like other pools that have a reduced their service regarding this and still charge the same rate. Hopefully this doesnt happen here too. I really appreciate the hourly Infusion especially late noon and evenings.
