München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Despite some negative comments in the review, I decided to see the Michaelibad by myself and I was positively surprised: I have to add that I was there on Sunday afternoon, the weather was rather cloudy and there wasn’t so many visitors… However, the guy at the cashier desk friendly and helpful, cloak room mostly clean (some few hair in the changing cabins), showers clean and working as desired, indoor swimming pool mostly well maintained clean (only a few dirts on the bottom of the pool, nothing disturbing). I was swimming in the sport lane, no issues, everyone respected the rules. Lifeguards patrolling nearby the swimming pool, all OK. Overall, it was a good experience. One wish, though: better mark the exit from the free parking place in front of the Michaelibad ;-)

We loved it! Big pool, smaller pool, and toddler pool. Outdoor heated pool, pretty amazing with snow around you! The "black hole" slide is great, we enjoyed it, from the little girls to the grandparents. Two or three jacuzzis, restaurant, and maybe some more things I missed. You can easily spend a whole day there. It was great :)

Best place to go for indoor & outdoor swimming for kids and adults. I would suggest going outdoors pools only in July or August. For the rest of the months, you can use indoor pools. Best place for small kids as well.

We were here on a Thursday morning at the open-air pool - an insider tip - and there was hardly anything going on. Apart from a few older ladies and the lifeguards, we were able to swim our laps after our hearts. As an outdoor pool, the Michaelibad is quite large and has a lot to offer. Besides a children's pool with a small slide, there is also a pool for older children and adults with a larger slide. There is also a tower with different heights and a small but deep pool. Finally, there is a large swimming pool where people swim. Around it there are large meadows where you can relax on your towel or blanket. However, geese seem to live on these meadows all the time, so they also use it as toilet. There are also a lot of cigarette butts lying around. Both are unpleasant, especially when walking barefoot. The lifeguards are very attentive and helpful. In addition to the various pools and meadows, there is also a beach volleyball court, changing rooms with toilets and a kiosk. Exciting: according to the sign, you can counter bee stings with cold onions. All in all, we can recommend the Michaelibad outdoor pool for swimming in summer. Without goose droppings and cigarette butt
