This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Shops in Germany display fixed prices with 19% VAT (7% on food and books) already included, so the figure on the label is what you pay at the till. Cards are accepted in most stores, though smaller shops may take only Girocard or cash, and bottles and cans carry a Pfand deposit that the machine by the entrance refunds. Visitors from outside the EU can reclaim VAT on larger purchases with an export form stamped at the airport before departure.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 am–8 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 030 22005500. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is lidl.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 703 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Just went in to get some buns for burgers and some ice cream on a beautiful, nice, hot, sweaty day towards the end of the work day. After looking around the frozen section I found the ice cream and on sale as well! Excitedly I searched through all the packages and managed to find a package of cookie dough ice cream in the very back row! Joyfully I made my way to the self service check out. After waiting in the line I scan my ice cream, only to have a message of it not being found in the system appear. After scanning it multiple times I figured it must be a problem of the disastrous German digitalization and went to the employee line not yet losing hope. After scanning it she informed me that the employees had not scanned the ice cream they stocked into their inventory. I attempted to ask her if she could still sell me the item and simply back log, but to no avail. All joy left my body and I was forced to leave disappointed and distraught in the heat with my ice cream being left behind to melt due to incompetence and over complication. Other than this tragedy the store is alright, great location yet often overcrowded due to the location and lack of competition. 2 stars due to the em

Worst Lidl ever, no space at all, you can't shop there.

The security guard was extremely rude (shouting, yelling) for no reason. I also saw other comments complaining the same situation, I think you should do more than just typing we are sorry. It is a serious situation that needs to be taken care of.

Lidl left me with mixed feelings. The product selection is quite limited, which is somewhat disappointing. The service is decent, but some of the prices seem a bit high. I also encountered an unpleasant situation at the checkout, where cashiers occasionally scan the same item twice by mistake. Overall, I am dissatisfied with my shopping experience.
