München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Landmetzgerei Friedl is a fantastic stop if you're looking for genuine, high-quality Bavarian hearty bites! We grabbed a quick meal here and tried a burger, a roasted pork burger (Schweinebraten-Semmel), and a classic white sausage (Weißwurst). Every single item was fresh, rich in flavor, and clearly made with traditional butchery craftsmanship. The roasted pork was tender with wonderful seasoning, and the Weißwurst was perfectly spiced—exactly as an authentic Munich sausage should be. The staff is friendly, efficient, and great at keeping the line moving even when it gets busy. Highly recommended for an easy, super satisfying lunch while exploring the market!

Very tasty crispy pork with bread. The meatvwas moist and the skin crispy. Pork was sold by weight and this huge sandwich was around 4.50 eur. Value for money, must try!

Their crispy roasted pork with bun is the highlight of all the things they served or selling! Price at under €4, it’s so reasonable. The roasted pork is juicy, fresh and tender. The skin is so crispy. What makes it the best is to pair it with sweet mustard! One of the best food I had in Munich, as a tourist!

Staff are so friendly and helpful! We saw food through the window and wanted to give it a go. They explained to us how it all works by paying by weight and made recommendations of the pork sandwich and leberkase! So good and cosy, we enjoyed standing outside and munching on our totally cheep and cheerful eats.

If you are tourist, you have to be careful with their cashier, when you paid them a note and they will give you a change with broken note. I asked for them to change the broken note to me, that guy in the cashier very impatient and rude to me, unhappily he threw the money note on the table, the one that he changed was another broken note and I asked for change again. He then put the money and bang the table on the cashier. As a tourist this is a very bad experience. I will not visit this shop anymore, you can find a similar food around this area. FYI, This shop is only taking cash and no card to be accepted. If you pay them cash please be alert
