About Kneitinger Keller
Located at Galgenbergstraße 18, 93053 Regensburg, Kneitinger Keller operates as a deutsche serving Regensburg in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 5–10 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 09933 9530037. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, kneitinger-keller.de.
With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 1,489 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for deutsche & regionale küche in Regensburg. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.
Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place almost got a better review. Beer is really good, food is okay at best. But the problem was service. Biggest issue with payment. The don't accept visa or card payment (only EC Karte, which nobody else has anymore), so I said that I will pay with cash, no problem. Except, I only had 100 euro bills, so they were super pissed that I didn't have kleingeld and were yelling at me. Another small problem is that it is a bit more expensive than other biergartens.

Nice restaurant with cozy surrounding, especially if you visit it with friends. The food is also good and the service is friendly. I have ordered a pork escalope; it was good.

Traditional biergarten offering standard Bavarian fare, seasonal beverages, and copious outdoor seating

In case you look for a bad service from an unfrtiendly "waitress" (or better said, she will let you wait-ress), this is the place. I have been to many Biergartens in Regensburg but this was the worst experience ever. There are plenty of better places in this beautiful city with a much better service. This one is highly NOT recommended.

Excellent food, their own beer is one of the best I ever drank and the waiter was great. I totally recommend it and I'll definitely visit them again next time I'm in Regensburg
