I just gave birth here last June via CS. I am very satisfied with my 4-day stay from labor until the last day. We got a family room and it was very clean. My husband has his own bed as well. The midwives, doctors and nurses were so kind and very emphatic. I am very grateful for their care. Food was also great!

I was so well taken care of by all the staff at this hospital. I had fear panic and extreme mental & physical pain, but thanks to their support and professionalism, I was able to give birth and learn how to care the baby safely later on. I can’t remember all the names, but I especially want to thank the midwives during my Birth Esra, Hannah, and Sonya — I’m truly grateful a hundred times over! They made me feel safe and confident that I could do it. And I did it!💪🏻🙌🏻🥳

The doctors, midwives and nurses are all so caring. We had a great experience with the birth of our son. We spent 3 magical days in the hospital, it’s very hard with a newborn but the hospital made it as comfortable as it could be. If we have another child we’ll definitely be coming back to st Joseph’s. Highly recommend.

Extremely busy birth department. The child delivery is well taken care of, the midwifes and doctors does their job really well. Sometimes gets a bit too busy , my induction was planned 2 weeks before and they postponed it on the day of admission calling us over phone just 2 hours before our scheduled admission, and asked me to come 3 days later as they were running in full capacity . I did not understand this as without a check up or scan and making sure everything is fine , it is risky to postpone in case of an already complicated pregnancy. Even on the postponed day , they delayed the admission from noon to late evening and said the induction will start next day. Next day morning they said no hebamme is available so I need to wait till late afternoon when they finally started the process, and most of following 3 days we ourselves had to push to start the process otherwise I was never an emergency case of high priority. Also the doctors are quite against C section by choice and till the last minute will force you for normal birth, which I found is a bit disrespectful for the mother. The prelabour twin sharing rooms are quite small for two patients , specially throughout the day th

I wish I could rate the midwifes and all involved here higher than 5 stars! They are the most caring and thoughtful people I have ever met. They speak amazing English. The birthing experience was wonderful thanks to them. The outpatient care in the ward above is a slight adjustment, very little English spoken and the nurses are quite rude and moody.

Can’t feel more grateful. That’s a safe space where it’s not scary to give birth. My son was born here a month ago and I’m extremely thankful to everyone who worked and supported me on this way - before, during and after birth. Doctors and hebammas are wonderful. Friendly, supportive and understanding. You will get all the answers for your questions in a friendly manner and in time. Wards are equipped with everything you may need after giving birth both for mama and baby. Food is ok for 3 days :) You can always have hot tea or water. U2 is conducted by a very friendly doctor and professional nurse. After birth my son had high bili-level so we had to bring him every day to be tested. Again here - only positive experience and friendly communication with frau Gisela. She gave us all the necessary information and good recommendations that helped us to avoid being put to the hospital again. Many thanks from our family to everyone who works in kreißsaal! All the best to you.

I am a father from Korea, and I can confidently say this is one of the best public maternity hospitals on earth. The staff may claim that they are just doing their job, but they leave the impression that they are not simply working for a paycheck. It seemed as though they took great pride in being the first "mothers" to meet the babies entering this world. Jokingly, as a foreigner and a taxpayer who contributes more than the average, I think German medical law should be revised to reward them even more. A 10-star rating would be appropriate. Whether it's friendliness, cleanliness, organization, dedication, professionalism, or flexibility, they are prepared to do whatever it takes for your child in any situation. If I may mention one person specifically, it would be Elisa from the maternity ward. Of course, all the staff were wonderful, but Elisa, in particular, became like an old friend to my wife with her cheerful demeanor throughout the process. That kind of emotional care was an immense source of strength. My wife was in a difficult situation because she had passed her due date without experiencing any pain, but thanks to Elisa's dedicated support, she gave birth to a healthy b

Outstanding experience at St. Joseph Maternity Hospital! From start to finish, the delivery staff exceeded all expectations. They were unbelievably kind, patient, and professional, making the entire birthing process a calm and positive experience. After delivery, the care continued with the nurses who were incredibly helpful and attentive to both me and my baby's needs. The hospital provided comprehensive support, including lactation consultants and physiotherapy, ensuring that every aspect of postpartum care was addressed. Without a doubt, St. Joseph Maternity Hospital offers the best service imaginable for expectant parents. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking exceptional care during this special time.
