I find the hotel is going doing down hill. It is not as classy as it used to be.

Excellent two nights here during Oktoberfest. (It’s a 15ish minute drive from the action, depending on traffic) The sauna, steam room, and pool were all great, and the room was nice. There was drilling on the street right outside our window, which wasn’t the hotel’s fault but still affected our stay, and the staff responded exactly as hoped in that situation—with an offer to move us and to help in any way they could to ensure we get a good sleep. I suggested lavender spray, and a bottle was waiting for me that night. Impressive service!!

I stayed at the Kempinski in Munich for a business trip, expecting a restful and professional experience. Instead, it was one of the most disruptive hotel stays I’ve ever had. On my first night, at 2:30 AM, all the lights in the room suddenly turned on, startling me awake in the middle of deep sleep. For a moment, I genuinely thought someone had entered the room—it was terrifying. The only solution the staff could offer was to shut off all the electricity in the room just to give me darkness to sleep. By then it was already 4:30 AM, and I had to be up by 6:40 for a critical morning meeting, which I attended utterly sleep-deprived. Because they shut off the power, the safe locked, and I had to wait for someone to come open it in the morning—delaying me further when every minute mattered. I was gone the entire day—from 6:30 AM until midnight. They had more than enough time to fix the electrical issue. I was told the problem had been resolved. It had not. Trying to rest the following day, I put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on and tried to sleep in the afternoon. They called me anyway, waking me up to offer a suite upgrade—clearly not reading the DND status. To make it worse, the phon

My review is for Spa Service. I enjoyed for 2 hours a wonderful journey conducted by Angie. She has magical golden hands and I hope only that she is appreciated as she deserves. Thank you Angie for making me feel comfortable and I wish you best of luck in the future!

My review is specific to the Cigar Lounge. You can visit the lounge even if you're not staying at the hotel, by purchasing a daily access card from the reception/foyer staff. The lounge is comfortable and posh with space for about 15 guests. Phyros is a great host and he adds to the sophistication of the whole experience. They offer some of the best premium cigars. If you're into cigars, this is a must visit spot when in Munich. Highly recommended 👌👍
