About Helena
Located at Heimerichstraße 24, 90419 Nürnberg, Helena operates as a griechisch serving Nürnberg in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–2:30 pm. It is closed on Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0911 372319. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is helena-nuernberg.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 1,394 reviews, which is a strong result for a griechisch in Nürnberg and suggests consistent service.
Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Nürnberg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Tasty grilled food, generous portions and welcoming staff. We got a small shot of ouzo before the meal which was amazing!

An amazing place owned by a Greek family. The restaurant has been operating for 45 years, which is truly impressive. It is an incredibly cozy and authentic place that beautifully preserves Greek culture and atmosphere. The food is excellent, the menu selection is huge, and the waiting time is minimal. We were genuinely surprised to discover such a Mediterranean gem.

Custom meat plate with chicken skewers, lamb/pork skewers, gyros, and beef-pork meatloaf was absolutely amazing. Beef-pork meatloaf was the best. Everything was juicy and nothing was dry. If you come here ask for little more Tzatziki. Little cake was served as dessert.

We used to have a favorite Greek restaurant in Berlin, but after trying this place twice, it completely surpassed our old favorite and we absolutely fell in love with Helena. Everything is amazing. The first time we went, it was really busy and we didn’t have a reservation. Still, they managed to give us a table for one hour, which we really appreciated. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered a glass of red wine, and as is tradition, they brought us ouzo on the house to start. Such a lovely touch. We had dolmadakia as a starter. They were very tasty, although we personally prefer the vegetarian version, as these were filled with minced meat. The salad that came with our meal was also excellent, especially with the sauerkraut. It was surprisingly delicious and very well balanced. For our main dishes, we tried the Special Plate, which included a very tender filet, two incredibly soft and flavorful lamb chops, and a perfectly grilled pork skewer. Everything was cooked beautifully. We also ordered lamb chops separately, and I truly loved them. They were juicy, tender, and full of flavor. On our second visit, we had baked feta cheese with tomato, paprika, and
