Hiring a tradesperson in Germany works best with a clear brief: describe the job, ask for a written Kostenvoranschlag, agree on timing and payment stages, and confirm who supplies the materials. The quote should state whether 19% VAT is included, and a Meisterbetrieb or Innung membership is a sign of formal qualification. Many firms visit before quoting and then send the estimate by e-mail or WhatsApp, which leaves you a record of what was agreed. Keep the Handwerkerrechnung: part of the labour cost is tax-deductible.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.
