The staff is friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. After installation of new brakes on my gravel bike, David took the time to show me how to adjust & maintain them. (Also, they stock the largest variety of Blue Lug reflectors I've ever seen in-person!)

My in-store experience with Davo at Guten Biken was consistently unpleasant and unwelcoming, marked by poor communication and a lack of basic customer respect. 1. First visit After reading positive reviews, I visited the store without an appointment to get a brief assessment of a recently purchased used road bike (used). While I understand that proper evaluations require time and scheduling, I was met with immediate disapproval and redirected to send an email, without any empathy or attempt to suggest a suitable timeframe. A short, friendly exchange would have gone a long way. I left disappointed, though still confident in the shop’s technical competence. 2. Second visit Before my scheduled appointment, my commuter bike broke down, so I asked by email to switch the appointment to this bike instead. Upon arrival, Davo explained the hourly rate, which I accepted, and I specifically requested only a brake repair to keep costs reasonable. This was met with visible dissatisfaction, followed by an unsolicited full inspection and multiple repair suggestions. This is the LBS that will make you feel like a kid in Disneyland. They really have all the hidden gems of Munich, in terms of Surly bikes, Konas, customization of these and so on. And also the service is outstanding. They are open minded and friendly, which for me tops everything else. Thanks a lot Fabian and David for fantastic service. I look forward to coming here more often.

I have been going to Guten Biken for years to get my bikes repaired. Even though I always try to carry out basic mechanics on my bikes myself, I could never come close to achieving fine tuning that the Guten Biken employees are so skilled at doing. Every time I bring my bikes in for service, I get them back feeling like brand new. As a result of being so satisfied with their expert service over the years, I decided to buy my first bike from them at the end of last year. I wanted a bike that was going to withstand all sorts of conditions and a well deserved beating from time-to-time. After a few initial discussions, we decided on the Brother Mehteh, which, in retrospect, was the perfect choice for me. From the time of the initial purchase until the day that I picked up the completed bike, the staff at Guten Biken consulted me on what components they thought would be best considering the type of riding that I would primarily be doing. At the same time, they gave me the autonomy to make my own decisions and bespoke my bike in the fashion that I wanted. At no point did I feel that I was being upsold. I trusted the Guten Biken team to build me a new bike and I would gladly do so again. They gave me very solid advise, walked me through every part of the bike and made great custom adjustments. I love the new ride that the built for me. I can fully recommend them and the quality work that they are doing!
