Third-party insurance is compulsory, and the dealer will usually arrange the registration (Zulassung) and number plates for you. Busy periods are the tyre-change weeks in spring and autumn and the days before the summer holidays, and breakdown cover through ADAC or your insurer is worth having.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I moved to Munich from California and had to transfer my license. Fahrschule Harzer was very helpful from the beginning by explaining how the process works as I was new to Germany and did not know how the application process differs. They were easy to reach by email and WhatsApp anytime. They got me ready for the theory and practical test with a minimal number of lessons. Overall great experience and good value!

July 2020 I started my drive license process in a neighborhood called Grosshadern in Munich. Start process was very easy and professional always very clear with all information and appointments. Our only problem, but I can not blame the Drive License School was the limit of people in the lesson in spite of Covid-19 regulations, but they always tried the best making our appointments in advance and for sure giving all of us the best chance. As I started from new I took the 12 Theorie lessons and afterwards the Theorie test. Thomas was my Driving instructor and he was always very professional, very attentive and easy going I have never had any stress with him and I am very please for his tips and to learn how to drive with the mentality hear in Germany specifically Munich that can be very stressful in terms of driving. I did not pass the test 3 times but it was all the time my fault as I was nervous and not so relaxed. In a resume I strongly recommend this Driving School. Many post on Facebook I read that people always had problems to get appointment to do the test but with Harzer Fahrschule it was so well organized that everyone gets a chance to as easy as possible take it. I want to
