About Dr. med Maximilian Strenkert

Hausarztpraxis und Betriebsmedizin

Located at Kaufingerstraße 12, 80331 München-Altstadt-Lehel, Dr. med Maximilian Strenkert operates as a hausärzte serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Choosing a practice, dentist or pharmacy is about trust and convenience: check the opening hours, whether the practice takes new patients (most want a Termin, booked by phone or through Doctolib), whether it treats statutory (gesetzlich) as well as private patients, and whether the staff speak English. Bring your Versichertenkarte; without cover you pay the full amount. Outside surgery hours dial 116 117 for the on-call doctor, and in an emergency 112 for an ambulance.

Opening hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8:30 am–12 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 089 24209398. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, abmarienplatz.de.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 59 reviews, which is a strong result for a hausärzte in München and suggests consistent service.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Details on this page come from public sources and may change; confirm anything important by phone before relying on it. Business owners can claim the listing to keep it up to date.

Today, I went to the family doctor to have my child’s vaccination proof signed which is requested by the US universities. The doctor charged an extra €20 for an in-depth consultation and, very rudely, complained that we foreigners have taken too much from this country then walked off. I was shocked and told him we work and pay taxes, and we pay high health insurance premiums. What exactly have we taken from this country? On top of being charged extra, we are also subjected to insults? I just received an email that this clinic is moving away, thank goodness we never have to come back here again. I cannot reply to the doctor's comment below, so I have to add an additional review. Over the past three years, you have filled out two vaccination certificates for my child, one for a summer school two years ago, and the other for university admission yesterday. That's it, not multiple forms as you claimed. You have all these records in your office. These forms were required by the school and had to be completed by a doctor, which is why I came to you, not because I wanted to cause you trouble. Do you really think that the health insurance I've paid over three years don't justify you spend

Lieben Dank!

I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at this practice. I came in with clear pain and showed the temporary insurance document I had been given in Germany, including my insurance number, barcode, and validity information. Instead of trying to help, verify it, or even show basic empathy, the doctor personally came out and refused to accept it. I found the whole attitude extremely unfriendly, unsupportive, and frankly money-driven. When someone is in pain, the least a medical practice can do is try to assist, clarify the insurance situation, or communicate respectfully. This was not only unprofessional, but also deeply disappointing from a place that is supposed to care about patients.
