Service businesses like this one usually respond fastest by phone or e-mail, and good tradespeople are booked out weeks ahead, so plan early. Be specific about the location, the scope of work and any deadline, and keep a record of what was agreed. Taking three quotes before you decide is normal. Professional firms such as lawyers, notaries and tax advisors (Steuerberater) work from statutory fee schedules, so ask for an estimate of the total up front.

Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 089 55892665. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is s-bahn-muenchen.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating stands at 1.4 out of 5 from 275 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

The worst train company to travel. Booked “first class” tickets without seat reservation possibility, kept us standing as we couldn’t leave young children seat by themselves. Horrible experience. Stay away!

Daily train cancellations, delays, total lack of information, dirt and stench in the trains and the list goes on and on. The only thing that works properly is ticket control. I've happened to arrive at my residence 3 hours late and the very next day be late for my duty. I am in no way blaming the staff and I would ask that no one does. All these problems have to do with the management of the company. I really feel sorry for people who have no other way to get around (and yeah of course I’m one of them).

Waking up at 5 so I can get from Frankfurter Ring to Freising at 07:30. So to be informed when I get the S1 from Feldmoching Bahn Station that the train is late, followed by the information that the train will stop in Neufarhn. As the train comes slowly, the conductor was talking at the phone. Finally driving, but it is not enough, the train inform that it will stop at Oberschleissheim which is just one station further. We are again informed that the next train will come in 6 minutes from line 3. We are at the line 3, and it appears on the panel that the train doesn’t come anymore and that the next one will be in 20 minutes. The germans follow the MVG App, but I don’t get the same updated as them. Time management is bliss at DB. And the 49€ ticket they can stick it somewhere. I was never so motivated to drive again the car! Shame!
