About Cycleclinic

Located at Heßstraße 54, 80798 München-Maxvorstadt, Cycleclinic operates as a fahrradläden serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as fahrradwerkstatt, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Shops in Germany display fixed prices with 19% VAT (7% on food and books) already included, so the figure on the label is what you pay at the till. Cards are accepted in most stores, though smaller shops may take only Girocard or cash, and bottles and cans carry a Pfand deposit that the machine by the entrance refunds. Visitors from outside the EU can reclaim VAT on larger purchases with an export form stamped at the airport before departure.

The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. Typical hours are 9 am–6 pm. It is closed on Monday, Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 089 85631482. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, cycleclinic.de.

With 3.5 out of 5 on Google from 225 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for fahrradläden & fahrradwerkstätten in München. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Details on this page come from public sources and may change; confirm anything important by phone before relying on it. Business owners can claim the listing to keep it up to date.

Super quick and friendly bike repair. 100% recommend

Olmo Pruneri 2 years ago

Hello, today I went to this store for an emergency. I felt that some of the things that happened to me at the store were quite rude, but the drop that filled the glass was a 20 euro minimum card fee. I feel that the only excuse for a minimum card payment is transaction fees, but at such a high minimum, that excuse does not count. Plus, in a bike store. This is a cheap way to nudge people towards overbuying (key word nudge, you can always go to the cash machine as I did. But this doesn't undermine the filthy intentions the store owner presumably has). I thought maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion, let me look at their google reviews. There, I entered the rabbit hole. 3.4 average, with a ton of one-star reviews. I discovered that they overprice pretty much everything in the store, and that many others felt their behaviour was rude. One review started their post with SCAMMERS, claiming they had overpaid for "the best wheels they had", and the air chamber malfunctioned within a month. It seems that the issues have been onging for years. 2 years ago: "Complete rip off, avoid at all costs". 5 years ago: "super expensive even for the little things to repair. Never again" And mind y

Unfortunately, I have to say the same as others: STAY AWAY, THEY’RE SCAMMERS. My bike simply had a loose pedal, and the guys told me they’ll need to change everything and charge 60 euros! Another shop nearby (Zundapp) fixed it by tightening the screw and didn’t charge a single penny…

Very helpful and knowledgeable about bikes. They stayed open late to help me purchase my new e-bike. Great selection of bikes for any size. I'm a tall guy and I was happy they had a big bike.

My experience with this store has been great so far. Really nice crew, who sometimes help you even free of charge (when parts are lose, for instance). Their advice seemed to me always very professional. Why all the bad reviews? Bike nerds are hard to satisfy and they like to complain, I guess.
