Located at Cosimastraße 5, 81925 München-Bogenhausen, Cosimawellenbad (Hallenbad) operates as a saunen serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as hallenschwimmbad, öffentliches bad, öffentliche sauna, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

For beauty and wellness businesses, it is worth asking how long the treatment takes, whether the quoted price includes VAT and what the cancellation policy is. Popular slots fill quickly, so book early. German saunas and thermal baths have their own etiquette: most sauna areas are textile-free (no swimwear), you sit on your towel, you shower before every session, and the Aufguss, the attendant's steam ritual, runs to a posted timetable.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. The most common schedule is 07:30–23:00. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 089 23615050. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, swm.de.

With 4.2 out of 5 on Google from 2,401 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for saunen, thermen & wellness in München. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

We have been in Cosimawellenbad many times before, mostly to experience generated waves in the main pool. But recently we go there with our toddler and I must say that it's one of the best swimming area designed for babies from very small, just few months old, to bigger babies who can walk and run. It has a lot of attractions, from a basin with a water at different level increasing slowly from shallow to deep, small fountains on the side, water guns which can be rotated by children, a river for toy ships, to water slide safe even for smaller ones. The area also has some corner with tables for families who would like to have some snack, not to mention that I really appreciate a sitting corner where one can leave their stuff and feed their baby if needed. We fell in love with this place, since all the attractions for our baby and also for adults make it absolutely quality time. I recommend this place, especially for families with children of different ages (including teenagers 😉), since everybody will find something for themselves there.

I am very disappointed by an incident at the cash desk (evening of Feb 12). My boyfriend (who was a tourist in Munich, doesn't speak German and is of non-German appearance) paid with a 10€ bill. The cashier suddenly claimed she had "mistakenly" given us change for a larger bill - even though we showed her the exact coins we had just received. She ignored the facts and treated us like fraudsters. We were forced to wait for 10 minutes while the line behind us was served so she could "verify" the register. In the end, she admitted she was wrong. Even though the staff wasn't explicitly rude, being placed under such suspicion felt highly discriminatory. A quick "sorry" is not enough. The pool and facilities were actually not bad, but after this experience, we will never come back. EDIT TO RESPOND TO THE OWNER I acknowledge your response and that the matter was discussed with the staff. However, I fail to see why visitors should be marginalized and treated with such suspicion simply because a staff member wasn't paying attention. This incident highlights a significant lack of sensitivity and basic customer service training. A professional way to handle a suspected discrepancy would be

What do you do on a Sunday afternoon when you have to learn #Bigfoot? Exactly, you go to the swimming pool with #Littlefeet. The Cosima wave pool was new to us and shortly after we got into the water, the waves started. The staff keep a close eye on who is swimming where and tell parents, for example, that their small children are not allowed to go any further forward in the waves. #Littlefeet and I swam a bit and jumped off the 1 meter board. Then we went to the showers and then to the changing rooms, where we found a lockable locker. Incidentally, they don't work with children's cards, but with adult cards. After almost two hours and wonderfully blow-dried hair, we returned home. The hairdryers are free to use. Overall, we can only recommend this place. It is clean, well maintained and well equipped.

It was okay.. too many people for one pool, even if it was in the week on a Wednesday night. Mixed cabin rooms for boys or girls, families, also the water in the indoor pools is colder, outside is the best because it is warm. Outside there is a big garden to take the sun and pool for kids.
