Don't arrive without a booking as they won't let you in, not even to turn around. That makes it difficult on a narrow road with obstacles, which made reversing back out with a large caravan quite a challenge. To book in, you have to drive about 6 miles to campingplatz nord where you get blocked in a really congested vehicle area and queue for ages at the office, who will turn you away rudely if you dare to show up without a booking.

We arrived saterday afternoon 4pm, nobody at the reception + closed gate. Nobody picked up the telephone. Somebody passing by said it is only for fixed camping... Better call on beforehand if you want to camp as tourist.

Best camping I've been to for a long long while. Friendly owners, good staff and it has everything you can ask for. I would come back again if I ever camp in Düsseldorf again. Good price, good little shop and easy to get into the city centre from there. 5/5 and I highly recommend it!
