Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Regensburg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

I had Eggs Benedict with salmon. The dish looked very nice but taste wise was a bit bland. Also with the Brioche the whole dish was a bit too soft. Later I found out you can also choose to have sourdough instead which would probably have been a better fit.

Hidden brunch gem in Bavaria. As someone else said, no Paris, no London, no Melbourne: Regensburg can arguably say they host one of the best brunch spots worldwide. And that's not apparent when you first drop by this cute but small city! We tried their opulent Korean Gochujang Pulled Pork toast, and the exotic Okonomiyaki. The pulled pork toast looks imponent: a towering homemade brioche with poached eggs culminating this gothic cathedral. The hollandaise features a smooth yet addicting peanut flavour, the eggs are masterfully prepared and the bread is as good as a brioche can be. But the absolute star is the tender, abundant, flavourful but not salty meat. Glorious. The mix of veggies provide with the adequate contrast, both in flavour and in texture. The Okonomiyaki was riskier than expected. But instead because of the risk of not being of our taste, the risk came in the form of original, singular, addictive flavour. This is the first time I tried a pancake not fluffy, but creamy! The kimchi in the middle suits excellently, and the complex mixture of veggies, fresh ginger and sauce made each bit slightly different, always interesting. Great food is hard to find, yet doable; gr

Superb coffee choice and flavours. Excellent cheesecakes. Staff helpful. Lovely place to sit outside whilst waiting for your train home, only a short walk back to the station.

The greatest cafe in Regensburg, period. Absolute perfected third wave specialty coffee with equal excellence served in their brunch fair. This place is SPECIAL, and please do not miss the pancakes - some of the best you will ever taste. Thank you for the incredibly kind service 🤍

The location is lovely. Inside and outside. However the staff are not so friendly and it took about an hour for the server to take my order. The food arrived quickly in comparison to that and it was tasty. As was the Coffee. However I would have liked the poached egg and the vegetables to be served warm. The portion is pretty stuffing.
