Ingolstadt is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Ingolstadt is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

We had very bad experience, racism on my wife who asked to show feeding room, then a "Corpulent young lady" at reception area performed well in showing her racism skills on my wife and on our 5 month old baby. Just because of few people like her this country is being judged wrongly by foreigners. I would like to give 5 star rating for the support I got from lady who work inside the office who did city registration for my family but everything ruined by reception lady. Whatever u ask she responds rude, angry (wie bitte👿) and look from top to bottom 2,3 times towards my wife and baby. We payed taxes for more than 3 years and will continue in future but her response seems like we're living in germany with her money or with government money. I understood why Burgeramt has 2.5 ratings in google because higher officials doesn't care about reviews and they don't train their employees to act professionally, so employees are really doesn't bother about their boss or higher management.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to every single employee of Bürgeramt for their help with my urgent troubles. Starting with a lady at the reception and later on the communication with the officers was very helpful, they listened to me with patience (though my German is not very good) and made every effort to explain me my further steps for the decision of my problem! Thank you soo much🙏🏼

The Staatsbürgerschaft people were very reasonable, understanding and accommodating. The process ran very smoothly and very quickly from their end. The people at the Bürgeramt were very cool, very supportive, understanding and friendly. The Termine can sometimes take a bit of time but in exchange one encounters very little chaos so that's nice.

Sadly no option for 0 stars. (This is regarding the foreigners office and not the citizens registartion office) Highly unorganized and careless service!! Applied for an obligation letter and the website said it can take upto 5 weeks. Its been almost 7 weeks now and no response. I got 2 contact numbers and email IDs from the reception. After trying multiple times they answered and the reasons they give are stupid: - there is no one at the office. - everyone have gone for summer vacation, I am alone. The sad part is, a few people who applied after me already got the letter. When discussed about this, they say they cannot spend an hour discussing such things, so just wait. They mention that the appointment for visa(in foreign) should be taken only after getting an obligation letter which was not the rule in any of the 5 cities I lived previously. I dont think its even a rule but just a makeover excuse. In the past 3 years ingolstadt is growing fast and with the same pace the quality of services of the foreigners office is declining. I hope they hire more people soon.
