Kein Hallo, wenn man den Laden betritt. Okay, kann passieren. Aber dann: Kartenzahlung, sogar Bankkarte aka EC, "zurzeit nicht möglich". Wie lange "zurzeit" wohl schon andauert? Der handgeschriebene Zettel wirkte auf mich schon etwas betagt. Und wenn Kartenzahlung mal wieder möglich wäre, dann erst ab einem Mindestbetrag. Nicht geeignet für Spontankäufe, man muss vorher zum Geldautomaten, wenn man das Bargeld schon anders verplant hat. Als Begründung für "keine Karten" müssen die Margen herhalten (die bei "EC"-Karten m. W. niedrig sind). Fazit: Unfreundlich und unflexibel, egozentrisch und nicht an den Bedürfnissen der Kund:innen interessiert. Wir werden den Laden nicht mehr betreten. Die Betreiber:innen können in der ruhigen Zeit ohne Kund:innen ausrechnen, was der größere Verlust ist: die nicht erzielten Verkäufe oder die kleine Marge.

Ich lese hier etwas von charmant. Kann ich als Autorin - mit einem Roman über einen kleinen, etablierten Verlag, der meinen aktuellen Roman auf der Leipziger Messe vorgestellt hat, nicht bestätigen. Abweisend, arrogant und nicht einladend trifft es besser.

Was nicht gleich vorrätig war wurde mir sofort bestellt. Das hat wunderbar geklappt. Die Bedienung war kompetent und freundlich, danke nochmals für die gute Beratung. Diese Buchhandlung kann ich guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Schön, sowas in der Nähe zu haben.

Herr Mertiny hat es geschafft, mir ein Exemplar der sofort vergriffenen Erstauflage von Crescent City 2 zu besorgen. Ich hab' mich super gefreut. Da weiß man, warum man die Buchhandlung im Kiez unterstützt und nicht online kauft. Es gibt etliche enttäuschte Online-Kunden, die das Buch im Winter vorbestellten und nicht die schöne Erstauflage erhielten. Auch sonst kann ich die Buchhandlung nur loben. Jedes Buch, das ich bisher auf der Webseite bestellte war in 2 Tagen abholbereit.
