For a night out or a family day in Regensburg, venues like this one are best checked for opening times and events on the day itself, since programmes change. The season matters: beer gardens open from April into October, Christmas markets run through Advent, and open-air cinemas and festivals fill the summer. U-Bahn and S-Bahn services run through the night at weekends in the big cities, with night buses elsewhere, so plan the trip home.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–6 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Brückturm-Museum on 0941 5075888; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, regensburg.de.
Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 72 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded museen & galerien in Regensburg.
Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Regensburg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

It’s open. Bring one 2euro coin per person to enter. It’s a coin op turnstyle and only 2 euro coin works. Climb the old stairs for a great view of the city and the bridge. It’s a 15 minute stop. Worth every bit of 2 euro.

Pretty interesting little museum. Not too crowded even on Sunday. And it has really nice view of the bridge and city.

A museum and tower that offer scenic views of the old town and bridge. The museum gives some idea of the history of the bridge and the town of Regensburg. The tower itself is climbable, but has a one way system that is not obvious to those who do not speak German. There is an old clock mechanism in the tower that is also quite interesting to those who are interested in such things.

One of the interesting heritage buildings to see in the city centre of Regensburg is Bruekturm (Bridge Tower) which stands on the south side of the Danube and the Old Stone Bridge. We enjoyed seeing the attractive tower after a brief stroll on the bridge. It is a convenient attraction to view while in this area of Regensburg. This gate tower once served as part of the city fortifications and dates back to the 13th-century. In the early 20th-century a large archway was built to allow room for trams to pass through. Today it serves as a museum and during part of the year (March to October - open 10.45am - 5pm) as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Visitor Centre throughout the year.
