Stayed here for one night this month. The location couldn't be easier to find: just take the bus from the U Bahn and look for the brewery brickwork tower. The beer garden food was typical dishes and quite tasty. They had the world cup on! I would stay here again, given the opportunity! I arrived early and asked to leave my luggage. I also settled my hotel bill then, with (maybe) a manager who spoke good English. (In most other situations I tried my best to speak German, but it was nice to hear a total in English and see a paper receipt.) They brought my suitcase up to my room for me! The atmosphere of the beer garden outside the window was friendly and I didn't feel like it was too loud. A fan was in the room, which was needed. I also liked the spacious bathroom with a heated towel rack (which I did not use heat on - it is the wrong time of year to appreciate that). In the morning a full German breakfast was provided for me including cold meats, cheeses, orange juice, small salad, a variety of Brötchen rolls, jellies, and a freshly cooked egg. I believe that the quality of the food and charming location was worth the price I paid.

Do NOT come if you don't plan to tip, and please be aware that as a foreigner you'll be treated worse, no matter if you speak German or not. Service was extremely rude. We were not frequently attended by the waitress, which is understandable due to the venue being busy. However, I was visiting with my family from Italy, where tipping is not part of the culture. The card terminal showed 10, 15, and 20% as options. We decided to not leave a tip, and the waitress reacted with a loud "wow!", also heard by my friends at the table. Since when is tipping mandatory? Please mention the tip is mandatory in the menu, if you hold a grudge against customers that don't tip. Furthermore, my mom was rudely pushed, moving her chair closer to our table, then only after pushing they explained to her she needed to move her chair. The German dude on the table opposite to ours was never asked to move their chair closer to their table (despite sitting further from his table, impeding the waiters more), let alone pushed instead of politely asking. I've been living in Germany for 7 years, and I've never experienced such rudeness related to tipping, nor rudeness towards my elderly parents. No respect wh

Great food, great beer, lovely waiting staff. The man behind the bar serving beer though was the rudest man I’ve ever met though…
