München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

We had an excellent experience with Mr. Schuster at BoConcept Prannerstr/Munich. He was incredibly patient throughout the entire process and was quick to understand what we were looking for. His advice and recommendations were extremely helpful, thoughtful, and never pushy. He has a great eye for combining colors, fabrics, and furniture and helped us feel confident with our choices. Even when we went back and forth on different options, he remained patient, friendly, and professional. Customer service like this really makes a difference when furnishing a home. We felt very well looked after from beginning to end and would highly recommend Mr. Schuster to anyone visiting BoConcept Munich. Thank you again for the wonderful service!

BoConcept Munich gave me one of the most disappointing design retail experiences I’ve had. When I questioned the poor proportions of a sofa, the salesperson defended it by saying that “people in Germany want to be comfortable.” That answer says everything. Comfort was used as an excuse for bad design. People in Germany — or anywhere — do not need to accept generic, badly proportioned furniture just because they want comfort. Good design means solving both: comfort and visual intelligence. As a designer, I found the explanation lazy and insulting. It is not the customer’s fault if the product lacks refinement. BoConcept should find salespeople with taste and design literacy, not people who justify mediocre design by blaming the market.

This excellent brand keeps delivering the highest standard of products and customer service. We have purchased on repeated occasions in the past from BoConcept, now in this relatively new store in the heart of Munich. Having purchased an exhibition item (a sofa) this time we were offered a top class post sales service. This is key when you choose the brand and the shop where to purchase your furniture. Big thanks to the staff and in particular the store manager for full continuous support in our case. Will gladly come again.
