Nice hostel for sleeping with your friends if you can book a full room. Location is close to the center. The hostel is very affordable, so you can expect it to be minimalistic and if you are a light sleeper you should bring earplugs due to the close tramline. Would recommend if friends are only looking for a place to crash at night.

I requested a cancellation due to a change in my travel plans, but they only refunded 10% of the money I paid. They took the money even though I never stayed there under the guise of expenses. What kind of expenses could they have incurred? I don't like their approach to customers at all. I don't recommend it.

Conveniently located at the junction of several U-bahn lines, you'll be treated to the screech of cornering light rail at all hours. The rooms are poorly ventilated, so closing the windows to screen out the sound offers no respite as you will end up in a humid stuffy cloud. There is no reception here, they offer "self check-in" which is just keys sticky taped to a desk and an "emergency number" which nobody answers. I met one guest who had been looking for a staff member for three days. There's a very polite sign in the bathroom suggesting not to be mad with them if it's a mess, just to contact them, but as above, that's impossible. One of the taps leaks badly, one of the ladies' toilets was permanently locked, and once, overnight, all the ladies' toilets were completely locked. There's a nice enough kitchen. Outside it, guest sheets sit on drying racks for days at a time - other guests could be pissing on them and nobody would know because there's no management here. The towels you're given for post shower are glorified bath mats and probably existed during my previous visit to Cologne in 2004. I can tolerate all of this stuff but I can't believe the price they're charging for vir

I would definitely recommend this hotel! We stayed there as a family, and the atmosphere was wonderfully calm. The receptionist I spoke with on the phone was incredibly kind, lighthearted, and funny, which made a great first impression. Our room was spacious, with large, comfortable beds. Despite it being winter, the hotel was so warm and cozy that I could walk around in just a T-shirt. The cleaning staff did an excellent job keeping everything spotless. Although the restrooms and showers are shared, they were always clean and smelled great, thanks to the hardworking staff. The hotel's location is a huge plus—right in front of a large supermarket and surrounded by fast food options and restaurants. It’s also within walking distance of many cool places you often see in travel videos. A big thank you to the amazing receptionist and the fantastic cleaning staff for making our stay so pleasant. We truly appreciate it!
