For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Regensburg keep standard hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on the weekly Ruhetag, on Sundays and over the Christmas and Easter holidays. Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Nice restaurant with very friendly personnel. We were served by Caroline who speeks very good English but the other lady also speeks English. They have free salad buffet with the meel. The food portions are large and very reasonably priced. The beer is fantastic. Highly recommended if you want a satisfying meal.

Lovely little hotel just outside the old city zone. Rooms quite nice. Very clean. Breakfasts were very good as well. Has a restaurant & beer garden that were great to relax in and had tasty food at reasonable prices. Right next to a brewery, but the only thing you note was the great beer from that brewery. No industrial noise or anything else. One thing to note is that Monday is their "down" day. Other than breakfast and room cleaning, there are absolutely no services or staff on Monday. Not a soul. You get a key to enter and access your room, but the rest of the hotel is empty and locked up tight. Kinda weird, but still a great little hotel.

Rating the food and beer garden: They have a lovely beer garden, perfect for sunny days. The service was also friendly and attentive. Although turkey schnitzel is not usually on the menu, they kindly made an exception for me—which I really appreciated. The dish "looked" absolutely delicious, and I was initially very pleased. However, once I began eating, I noticed an unusual and unidentifiable taste. It didn't taste like turkey at all. I genuinely couldn’t enjoy the meal. I can’t pinpoint exactly what the issue was—perhaps the meat had been recooked, was of lower quality, or wasn’t turkey breast at all. Whatever the case, something felt off, and it affected my experience. To their credit, the staff did check in and ask for feedback. I chose not to share my dissatisfaction at the time, as I didn’t want to potentially disrupt the overall pleasant atmosphere. I wasn’t sure how my feedback would be received, and I preferred to keep the mood positive.
