Shops in Germany display fixed prices with 19% VAT (7% on food and books) already included, so the figure on the label is what you pay at the till. Cards are accepted in most stores, though smaller shops may take only Girocard or cash, and bottles and cans carry a Pfand deposit that the machine by the entrance refunds. Visitors from outside the EU can reclaim VAT on larger purchases with an export form stamped at the airport before departure.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–1:15 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 089 72059269. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is stemmerhof.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 30 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

thanks for fixing my bike

I've tried many shops in Munich to do the annual check up on my bike, to regulate gears, breaks, etc. Nobody will set up your bike like they do here. The owner really knows what he's doing. My bike is nothing special. I thought I always had some small problem with the gears (even right after the set up in other shops) because of it. Falsch! :) After the set up at this shop it goes so flawlessly I would never stop using it! Very much recommended.

I took my mountain bike for a check up and some repairs and received really good service. André was friendly and helpful, also explaining exactly what will/has to be done. Now my bike runs perfectly again. If one wants info, it's better to call or visit in person as emails don't necessarily get a response though. They also only accept cash payments and no cards. I will be happy to take my bike there again for its next service!
