Avis don’t match up to other providers. My flight arrived 45 minutes before schedule. I tried to pick up my car 30 minutes before my booking and they tried to charge me €70 for this. I just had to stand infront of the counter for 30 minutes while the keys were laying there. SIXT or other premium provider would never have acted like that. What a laugh. Never AVIS again for me. Also. Response from the station manager: if you’re not happy with AVIS, rent with another company 😂😂😂 I’m on a corporate agreement that brings in quite some revenue, or was on a corporate agreement perhaps is more correct

After being turned down by a big car rental company (beginning with S) in the last moment, I came here. Everything went fast although I didn't have any reservation. They gave me an almost brand new car (had only 2500 km on it) and everything went smooth. All in all it was a good experience.

Go somewhere else. Had a very bad experience: I was late to pick up my pre-paid car (picked it the next day since they close at 17:00). Guess what? They rented it to someone else. Left me with a 7-seat van, which was way too big for a single person. What’s more: apparently it’s not allowed in Munich city since it’s a contaminating car. They didn’t bother letting me know. I asked whether I would be able to replace it the next day (they said maybe). The next day there was no other car but they said the the following day a better one is returned (I asked to reserve it for me and they agreed). Next day, again had to drive to the agency just to find out that there is no car. Wasted 4 hours in and out trying to get the car I paid for and at the end got stuck with something too big I couldn’t enjoy of. My recommendation- seek for another agency before going there.

Vladimir L truly sets the gold standard for service! He is extremely professional, caring, and informative..I rented a one-way that would be dropped off at the Munich Airport. He knew all the pre-existing damage on the car from memory and was sure to notate all damage on the contract. Munich Airport Avis is EXTREMELY brutal on charging for damage and they did charge me, but I was able to reverse the charges thanks to Vladimir's help. When the heavy snow hit Munich, I returned to this location hoping to get a rental car. By that point the location was out of cars, but Vladimir was, again, going above and beyond to help customers and was patiently explaining the tricky situation. Subtracted one star, simply for an overall bad experience with Avis. Avis in the Munich area is a stark negative contrast to other rental experiences I've had with them across Europe and other parts of the world. The previously mentioned false charges on damage was one of a series of frustrating issues. Despite the impending winter weather I was given a car with no snow tires so it made for very challenging driving. I gave the car back before the rental period was up, gave the keys to the person at the counter, and he said all good. Later received an invoice with double amount of the original price, stating that I gave the car back 3 days later....such nonsense! They lure you in with lower prices but then apparently they charge you whatever they want. Now they say I need to prove that I gave the car back in time....I never experienced such with any car rental in my life. Apparently, there are dishonest people sitting in their offices, so I would advise everyone to stay away from them!!
