For anything on wheels, from a tyre change to a new vehicle, the basics apply: confirm the price up front, ask about the warranty on parts and labour, and get a receipt. Third-party insurance is compulsory, and the dealer will usually arrange the registration (Zulassung) and number plates for you. Busy periods are the tyre-change weeks in spring and autumn and the days before the summer holidays, and breakdown cover through ADAC or your insurer is worth having.

Opening hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Auto Service Can on 089 421262; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, autocan.de.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 351 reviews, which is a strong result for a kfz-werkstätten in München and suggests consistent service.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

WOW!! What a thoroughly helpful, pleasant and and kind man! We were on a road trip from the UK and hearing unusual noises coming from our engine. We took it to Car Repair Services Can and he looked over it for us, topped up the coolant and refused any payment despite us insisting. His perfect English also meant there was no need for me to attempt to describe the problem in broken German 🤣. He was reassuring and explained clearly that the car was safe to drive but probably should be looked at when back in the UK. If you want an honest, expert and unbiased service, go here.

I visited this place in a hurry after my engine oil warning light suddenly came on during an autocross event. I was deeply impressed by Mr.Bihaki’s detailed explanation, trustworthy service, and incredibly fair prices. Highly recommended!

We highly recommend this garage! Our car suddenly made a lot of noise when we accelerated and we wanted to make sure that we could safely continue our journey. We just started our holiday and were very worried about our car.. Can was so kind and checked our car immediately. He found out it was a small tear in our exhaust system that causes the noise. Can said we didn't need to get it fixed immediately as it is still safe to drive with the small tear. The only downside is the loud noise.. Can didn't ask for any money, but asked for a 5 star review 😉 Here you go Can, you deserve this review! Thank you so much for your help today. We safely made it to the Dolomites and can go enjoy our holiday now. ~ Lars & Emily

I highly recomend this car service! I am three, four times a year in Munich and sometimes I need help of a mechanic. First time I met the real professional who was also very honest man! I am grateful that I found this place and next time when I need to repare something in my car I will go only there! And do not be surprised by the modest appearance of this site. It is the right place to repare your car!

I am very satisfied with the service, the mechanics repaired everything with high quality! The guys are very nice, polite and friendly! I left the car at lunchtime and the next day everything was ready (brake change, exhaust pipe welding and clutch fluid change)! I took the repaired car with a fresh technical inspection! Many thanks and a definite recommendation!
