Ingolstadt is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The museum was very interesting and I was glad there were explanations in English. It is modern, clean, and a great place to learn about the history of the cars and the brand. There is a wide variety of cars on display and even motorcycles, which makes the visit quite impressive. It would be great to add more interactive experiences, such as the possibility to sit inside a car to take photos, to make the visit even more engaging. However, when I visited at the end of July, the temporary exhibition on the first floor was closed. That was actually the part I was most looking forward to seeing, as it featured the latest models and the real “wow” factor I was hoping for. I was a bit disappointed…

A very beautiful exhibition and an exceptional lesson in Audi history. I'm sorry I didn't see the F1 car, but I had the opportunity to see it in action at the Belgian F1 Grand Prix.

I’m an Audi fan, and I visited in my own first-generation Audi TT. I loved the museum from start to finish. The temporary exhibition is really interesting. The gift shop is quite small, BUT you can buy Audi merchandise in the large forum near the museum. The restaurant is just as good—and inexpensive! It’s a must-visit for any car enthusiast, and especially for Audi fans. I’d go back!

The museum itself isn't as big as the Mercedes museum in Stuttgart, nor is it as big as VW in Wolfsburg, but it is an interesting museum to visit with really good displays and well worth the trip to Ingolstadt. If you do go, then it is around a 1 hour train ride from Munich and a short bus ride from the railway station. Also worth booking early and getting on the factory tour, which is very good. There is also a restaurant on site which offered an fairly extensive menu for visitors.

Went here a few days ago, we got a train from Munich. Luckily there was a train station for Ingolstadt Audi which made it more convenient, although it was quite a walk to the museum as the station was located in between the factories. Although Ingolstadt itself isn’t a touristy destination, the biggest attraction would be the Audi Museum. (Car lovers lol) The cafe itself was stunning, roast beef and fries were delicious. The museum tells you the history about how the four different companies merged (hence the four rings) and how they became iconic over time. Just like the other German automobile museums, it’s a recommended visit!
