This hospital was great when I arrived by ambulance with a dislocated shoulder. The team treated me promptly, efficiently, patiently and skilfully. Dr Martin Rodrigues was fantastic! The only thing I would have liked would have been a warm blanket when I arrived, shaking terribly from shock and to have had this shock treated during the terrible hours. But my review gives many stars to those medical stars. Bless them all.

Everything was great and as expected. It's a hospital so don't expect 5 star hotel. My German is not very good and everyone made an effort to understand me and also to speak English when needed. I never felt I was a burden. Dr. Med. Bastian Ipach operated my shoulder. The next day he came round and answered all my questions. He made me feel calm and had a lot of patience. I never got the feeling he was "in a hurry". Excellent bedside manner. Thank you to everyone at the hospital for helping this non-german speaking international feel at home and well cared for. Cheers!

I would like to start by commending Dr. Stephan Lorenz and his team, as well as the theatre nurses; they were all fantastic throughout my procedure. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the general ward nurses. While they appeared to be significantly understaffed, it was clear that they were doing their very best to provide care. However, there are two areas where I believe the patient experience could be greatly improved. First, the quality of the food was disappointing. Following surgery, wholesome and nourishing food is essential for recovery, but that was not my experience. Breakfast and dinner consistently consisted of just a roll with butter, jam, or cheese, and the lunches were very bland. I eventually had to ask friends to bring me food from outside. Secondly, I was concerned about the lack of privacy in the wards. There were no curtains separating the beds. My neighbor had a broken leg and required a commode, and because of the lack of privacy screens, she had to pee and poop in full view of the room. I would strongly suggest that Artemed considers installing privacy curtains or placing patients who require a commode in a dedicated ward.

Very poor quality of care and doctors. My father was admitted for treatment on sudden illness basis. It did not look like the doctors knew what they were doing and were more concerned on the billing as he was a private foreign patient. Perhaps the hospital is better for simple treatments and not for any complicated illness that require higher expertise and knowledge. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone, even as a last option.

I have had a very positive experience with my shoulder surgery here. Dr Lorenz was extremely helpful getting me in for a second opinion and quickly scheduling the procedure. My German is super limited, and everyone was helpful and patient. The kind and helpful staff for surgery and recovery helped so much. Big operations while living in a foreign country can be scary, and I am so grateful to have had a positive experience.
