Würzburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Würzburg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Wow! This place is fantastic! Charming restaurant, super friendly and helpful waiter, and some of THE BEST Turkish food I've ever eaten. I truly felt that the food taste and quality was what I experienced in Ankara and Istanbul. I had Ciftlik Güvec and my wife had the similar veggie dish. Our server suggested we get one side of flat bread and one of garlic potatoes so we could share and try both. Those potatoes were exceptional especially with the taziki-like sauce. If you like real Turkish food, go to Ararat. Signed, the couple from California

Overpriced and catering to a very bland-taste, non-Turkish audience

🇹🇷Yummy Turkish food served with authentic Franconian hospitality. Portions are big and the appetizer sampler is a must-try. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Will be back soon!

A hidden gem in Würzburg. You feel like you are in Istanbul. The decor and food give you the feeling of a temporary vacation. This is not a schnell imbiss (fast food). This is a Turkish Restaurant with a wide variety of traditional Turkish food. I had the 23 Mantarli Pilic Güvec (chicken, mushrooms, and cauliflower in a white wine sauce) with garlic potatoes. I will take my family there again!

If you're looking for some Turkish delicacies which are something else than Döner Kebap, this might be your spot. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and filling dishes, including lamb and fish. The restaurant itself looks a bit rustic, but it's still cozy.
