The line outside the Original Berliner Döner Würzburg is an indication of the tasty food you’ll find inside. The menu at this popular snack joint with no seating inside and only stand up tables outside has two meat options and a vegetarian one (falafel). The meats or falafel come as a wrap or on a plate. You might have to wait if you order fries or if you order a falafel plate - need time to fry the falafel. I ordered falafel special plate to go. At least five wraps were made for the people standing in line behind me while I waited. It was as if the team behind the counter were annoyed that I didn’t order a wrap. The place was very crowded and I waited at least 20 mins in line before ordering and another 15 mins for the plate to be made - was there after 14h on a Saturday. The vegetables, the rice, the pomegranate seeds, the feta, all were delicious when I eventually made it to my destination. I would have preferred the falafel to be less fried - they were dried out and shrunken compared to how they looked before frying. So if you’re up for waiting in line for a kebab wrap, can recommend the Original Berliner Döner - the food was good and the price was reasonable.

They do carry the name of their franchise. Definitely the best Döner I have eaten in Würzburg. Absolutely recommend for Döner and kebab lovers. The chicken meat comes grilled with the veggies stuffed in between which gives that special charred flavour. The sauces are all amazing and full with flavours. Addition of freshly squeezed lemon at the end, just enhances the overall taste. The bread is also very different from all those regular Döner shops. The staff is friendly and the preparation is quick. But be prepared to stand in the queue for 20-30 minutes during the rush hour and the weekend. At the end it is all worth the wait.

Great little restaurant serving up tasty food. Had a constant line but moved fairly quickly, and the food was delicious and worth the brief wait. No inside seating, just a line to order, some tables outside to stand around or plenty of seating nearby in the various squares. Clearly labeled vegan options on the menu. Falafel was fresh and very crispy, fries were decent - all in all a great quick meal.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Berliner Döner last night! There is usually a long line out of the small restaurant, but we were lucky and the line was shorter than usual. Even still, they work fast to get you served and the line moves quickly. Once we received our döners, we proceeded outside to the pedestrian where there are plenty of seats and benches available. We loved the combination of flavors and were sufficiently full after eating! Great price, too!

I didn’t understand why there’s always line waiting for the Döner until I got my first one. I like the grapefruit seed inside, it tastes amazing. Chicken is not my favorite but I love the beef and can come several times for that! Food is good but line is too long 🤣
