Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–2:30 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Anji - origin of taste on 089 12113568; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is anji-restaurant.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 1,277 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinesisch, thai, vietnamesisch & indisch in München.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Our local friends selected this restaurant for our visit.. menu is very interesting with some rather complicated breakfast plates, offered at a reasonable price by Munich standards. Food came quickly once ordered. Outside dining area is extensive ( but it was too windy on our day). I enjoyed my smoked salmon plate with eggs and veggies. Would gladly come here again. 1 block from Tram 17 stop .

Great spot for a spontaneous business dinner. Friendly staff, relaxed outdoor seating with a calm vibe—perfect for conversation. Wide variety of dishes (from sushi to curry), plus desserts and non‑alcoholic drinks. Everything was well-balanced and delicious. We’ll definitely come back!

Came here for the 50% brunch deal and it did not disappoint! The only downside is that it’s super crowded inside with 0 ventilation… Love that they have some pretty nice southeast Asian flavours and dishes that have yet to be super popular in the west.
