This review is for Alamo rental cars at Munich Central Railway Station. I had car reservation since a few months ago. I had to pick up the car tomorrow, but recieved an email cancelation "due to undelivered cars" they had no cars to hooer my reservation. However I called the operator and he scheduled a new reservation for exactly same dates and same type of car, same location but for 300 euros more. This means that they lied to me about the reason of cancelation because I made new reservation with no indication of any lack of cars. I lost my confidence in the business and will rent from another company. Today Alamo lost my business for today and for the future, and I think they will also looss a little reputation with those who are reading this review.

⚠️ I do not recommend renting from this agency ⚠️ My car rental was at the beginning of June, and I am still waiting to receive the full refund of my deposit. After returning the car, my €250 deposit was not refunded correctly. In their first emails, they claimed that part of my deposit had been withheld because the fuel tank was not full. This was simply not true, as we had filled up the car just before returning it. When I pointed this out, their only response was: "You are right, we are sorry for the false charge and send you the payment back." They immediately admitted the charge was incorrect. Had I not challenged it, I would have lost my money for a charge they themselves acknowledged was false. Even after admitting their mistake, they still failed to refund my full deposit, and I am still waiting for the remaining balance. From the very beginning, they kept sending me in circles by email, deliberately avoiding my questions about my deposit instead of giving me clear answers. Every time I asked why part of my deposit had been withheld, I either received no response or replies that did not address my questions. Eventually, I contacted Enterprise Mobility Customer Service

I rented a BMW 3 Series from Alamo in Munich, but unfortunately it wasn’t available when I arrived. Since I regularly drive a manual, they gave me a BMW 1 Series instead (I wanted a manual anyways). Not a huge surprise, as budget‑friendly rental options often overbook. Overall, the experience was great. I didn’t catch the names of the guys at the front counter, but they were friendly, spoke excellent English, and explained everything clearly. I was checked in and out within about 10 minutes. For pickup, enter the garage from the north side of the building—you’ll find elevators in the center of the building that lead to the car park. For returns, enter from the south side and park in the stalls on the left. The return attendant was friendly and simply asked me to leave the keys on the driver’s seat.

Smooth in, out, and return with no issues. Ertu provided excellent service and had everything ready. The VW Golf was ready on time as promised, fully fulled, and in good condition except for a faulty air pressure sensor. The storefront is shared with an O2 cell phone store, but there is a small sign outside. The car pickup/drop-off point is further away at a parking garage. Pay attention to the in and out since they are on opposite sides of the building. They placed a credit card security hold for the rental which is standard, and it came off the credit card (never got charged) shortly after the return. The return lady was just "ok" and was not very friendly or clear about the return. Regardless, we were happy in the end. TIP: Coming from Canada we were shocked at how expensive gas was when we filled up.

I have been all around the world and this place has been the worst to rent a car. They dont answer their phone or emails at all. I got a 30€ traffic violation and payed that to the german bank account to the authorities. Alamo has to this day charged me 230€ for "handling" fees for this violation?? This is outrageous and I have never seen anything like this. Please use something other company like Hertz if you dont want to pay hidden fees and get scammed. Dont rent from here.
