Herzlich Willkommen im Restaurant Hans & Franz im Herzen von Köln Ehrenfeld! Wir servieren feine internationale Tellerchen zum Kombinieren & Teilen in einer warmen und einladenden Atmosphäre. Dabei legen wir den Fokus auf frische, vegetarische Gerichte. Aber auch Liebhaber von Fleisch und Fisch finden eine Position der Karte. Unser herzliches Serviceteam kümmert sich um eure Wünsche und empfiehlt euch zum Essen auch gerne das passende Getränk. Im Sommer laden wir euch auf unsere große Terrasse ein, abseits des Verkehrs auf der Venloer Straße und trotzdem mitten in der Stadt. Und wenn ihr mal eine extra Portion Spaß braucht, steht euch eine Kegelbahn zur Verfügung; natürlich auch mit gekühlten Pittermännchen. Wir freuen uns auf euch!

Food was rather standard. Bread and oil were good. The rest of the menu was rather standard. Some fish, some chicken. Prices okay. All cocktails bland and mostly ice. 27€ for regular fish with asparagus, 7€ or so per cocktail. Bread and antipasti plate was something like 14€. Antipasti just ordinary. We had to wait very long and inquire multiple times to get our food. Drinks came fast. Kitchen was slow.

1st Dinner : on weekday in April 2026. Fabulous. One of the best in Köln 🫶🏻🫶🏻 reservation is recommended. Return or not ? Of course ! I gave a 5 stars. (All pics are from our 1st dinner visit ) 2nd dinner : we returned in Jul 2026 for another dinner. Unfortunately, food quality was inconsistent from April. Taste was average. I edited the food quality from 5 stars to 3 stars.

Lovely atmosphere and kind servers. We waited about 15 minutes before being served, but when the waitress arrived they were very helpful. To honest the food was okay. I tried the pulled pork and the potato gratin. Particularly the potato gratin with salad was nothing special and quite underwhelming for a dish costing over 20€. There was no punch, no special texture or flavour.

Very nice food, they have good quality dry Cider, tasty appetizers. Very friendly service, calm place with pretty lights. The yard is not very cozy, though, but still nice. It's quite pricy, but worth it!
