kinda in an odd place... like a back of a building in a corner where construction is happening. I don't know much about how unusual this arrangement is for Berlin but all the corridor lights stays off unless you turn them on manually. so when you get around at night there's a lot of darkness and even when you turn the switch on, it would turn itself off in a minute or two. gets pretty scary at night especially when you step outside into the building hallway. The room itself is very clean and the staff was attentive, but walls are very thin and noise gets in very easily both from the outside and inside of the building. all the things I described plus the room being located in the first floor with windows facing the public courtyard makes me feel not very safe/cozy as a solo female traveller. chose this place because of proximity to my work dealings and budget range. transportation is not bad but not amazing either. got what I paid for I guess

Check in was quick, the rooms are small but clean, there's a shared mini kitchen in the hallway. It's more like a few flats in an apartment building rather than a hotel, but it worked for me as it was relatively affordable.
