This hotel is a great budget option for four travellers that are happy to bunk in one room. The spaces are clean and modern, and the cafe and communal kitchen were very welcoming. Additionally, it is a ten minute walk from both the S19 and S1 tram lines to the airport and city. Our only complaint was that there were no glasses for water, and no spare pillows/towels in the room. Wir lieben die Gemeinschaftsküche und die Etagenbetten. Wir brauchten nur Gläser für Wasser im Zimmer.

The staff at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. It’s the perfect place to stay if you’re planning a day trip to Phantasialand.

Very fun place to stay. Super friendly atmosphere, and our check-in guy Felipe was extremely helpful and friendly. There is a Rewe (grocery store) right next door and a fantastic Italian restaurant a block away. They have a washer and dryer on the premises for 4€ per wash or dry which was convenient, but it also had a very long drying cycle compared to American dryers, and our clothes were still still not quite dry when we pulled them out (but close enough). Our room was very clean and big enough for our family of 5 -- 1 queen and 2 sets of bunk beds. Food and drinks were available, as well as a communal kitchen if guests wanted to cook. Two very minor inconveniences. We had to put a towel by the shower room door so water didn't run out. And it's Europe, so there was no air conditioning. They did provide an air circulator that is set to keep the room -3 degrees from the outside temperature. So our room was warm, but had decent air flow. Loved the vibe of this place and the location. Would be happy to stay here again.

My stay at Meininger was a great experience. I did not exoect too much after booking one bed in a shared room for only 25€, but I was genuinely surprised by the high quality service and cleanliness of the Hotel. The staff greeted me with huge smiles and an eagerness to make my stay as comfortable and welcome as possible. Truly a 5/5 team. The rooms were spotless and towels and soap were provided. The eating area was cozy, and posters of inclusiveness in the lobby to all genders (its a small but aooreciated touch) made me believe that anyone who chose to stay here would be treated with that 5/5 service. I also had the luck of sleeping here on a night that, what seemed to be, 400 school kids were here for a trip. The staff tried their very best to accomodate them and maintain order for the guests that might have not had the energy that these kiddos had at night. The only reason I gave it a 4 star review was because of the quality of drink preparation. Being a bartender myself and having worked in restaurants, irish bars and cocktail bars, I know that there are some specific things one should do when pirimg beers from tap or making coffee.
