I was there already three time, for my Auswise and driving license. And each time I go, I am so satisfied and happy with the service. The people, the waiting time and the whole experience overall.

Went there for my Anmeldung today. The lady at the front desk was okay-ish: cold, silent, just handed me a waiting ticket. But when she reached for some paper, she slammed the drawer shut loudly. Hope she was doing okay. I was then called to the first counter. When the staff member finished copying my passport and brought it back, he slammed it down on the desk in front of me. I was honestly shocked by how rude that gesture was. Why are people so rude and disrespectful these days? Anyways, he did his job. I hope he recovers from whatever bad mood he was in and perhaps learns some basic manners. The staff who was chatting with the rude staff next to him was friendly. Anyways the efficiency was relatively great, but it was kinda unpleasant experience. And the guy at the 1st counter mistaken my address postcode. I have to correct it again the other day.

Service was incredibly fast. I got number 72, but it didn’t feel like a long wait at all. Inside the waiting room, there are machines available to make coffee or hot chocolate, as well as snack vending machines. I came to Shelter 3, and the staff there were friendly and helpful. There was a mistake with my name, but it was handled very well and didn’t make me feel stressed. To the staff at Shelter 3, thank you sm & have a wonderful day☺️

Having just moved to Germany (with extremely limited German), I was nervous about going to the bezirksamt to register my residency and to apply for my driving license test. I tried hard to use my German which I am sure was difficult for them to understand, but the lady who helped me complete my residency and driving license test application was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. I’ve lived in over 5 countries as an expat for the last 17 years and I have to say, this was one of the most efficient and helpful city hall experiences I’ve ever had.
