Stayed here on a class trip. Lovely location (less than 10 minutes walk from Ostkreuz). The staff is great and our rooms were very nice (4 people arrangements). The breakfast was nice with quite a few options (vegetarian/vegan).

A very good place to stay for families, (young) groups and conferences of all kind. The seminar rooms are excellent, the food and service was much above our expectations. The youth hostel is excellently connected to public transport.

This really is a far cry from the youth hostels back in the 90s - if you didn't have to put the bedding on and off yourself, you'd think you're in a 3 star hotel. The rooms are designed beautifully and super practical. They are large with massive bathrooms (at least the one we had). If you are travelling with a toddler, not only can you get a crib to the room, but also a changing mat and separate bin for the nappies - this is the first time I'm seeing this in any hotel, and it's so thoughtful and useful!! Breakfast had everything you expect, and also the quality was really good. The eggs were boiled to perfection - none of the greenish-blue egg yolk you usually get at hotel breakfast buffets! Location is good and will probably be even better when the construction site between the youth hostel and the station is gone. The place is ideal for families with small children: there is a large outdoor playground (plus gym equipment for the parents) and a smaller play corner inside for bad weather days. Really good experience. All area are generous in space and my room was no exception. I slept really well! The breakfast had everything you needed including freshly made American pancakes. I will come back to this place. The price was great too!
