I don't have any complaints. The best thing I liked about the hotel is that they free willingly take care of a stray cat daily, and the cat is adorable and super kind. I find the hotel and staff amazing for doing that. Then you can imagine this is a good place with good people. So they get 5 stars from us, and also because our (private) room was clean and quite spacious. The building was also really cool and the location is perfect.

Henry from Brazil made our night! He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and had such a positive attitude from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made us feel genuinely welcome. His great sense of humour and excellent service really stood out and added to the whole experience. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. If you’re lucky enough to have Henry looking after you, you’re in for a great time. Thanks again, Henry—we hope to see you again soon!

The main issue was the lack of ventilation in the room and how insanely loud it was and due to the heat we couldn’t keep the window closed but we didnt sleep due to the noise. If there was a vent or ac maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad. Also the floor was quite dirty a lot of clumps of hair. But the staff was very friendly and gave us a fan and even checked if there were other rooms available for us not facing the loud street. And the location is great!

I’ve been staying at a&o Berlin Friedrichshain quite often for work, and it has become one of my favorite places to stay in Berlin. What I really appreciate is the atmosphere: it’s lively and social without being chaotic. I love that there is often live music, which makes the hostel feel welcoming and full of energy, while still allowing me to work peacefully and comfortably during the day. The staff is always kind, professional, and very helpful. A special mention goes to Henry, who always makes guests feel welcome with his positive attitude and availability. Small details like this really make a difference and are one of the reasons why I keep coming back. Highly recommended for both travelers and people working remotely who want a relaxed and friendly environment in Berlin.
