The hotel is great overall. Location right next to the cathedral is amazing. But I experienced a few annoyances that hurt the experience for me. Wifi in the hotel was completely unusable, it worked only very early in the morning and was still extremely slow - signal was great but it seems like infrastructure behind it was lacking. And breakfast is great, huge selection, only if service could remember my order, every single day I ordered "three scrambled eggs, bacon and avocado" and one day got 1 egg, another one I didn't get a bacon, then avocado - even when they wrote it down.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with great personal service. It is located right near the train station, which is very convenient. The rooms are spacious and clean with everything that you could possibly need. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I love being able to have great coffee in the room. The breakfast was very diverse with incredible service.

From the moment I arrived, the check-in staff were extraordinarily friendly, welcoming, and professional, setting a warm and genuine tone for the entire stay. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which immediately demonstrated the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. Booking through American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts added tremendous value. The hotel’s location is outstanding, directly across from Cologne Cathedral, with beautiful views that make the stay feel uniquely tied to the city. It’s an ideal base for exploring Cologne on foot while still feeling calm and refined inside the property. The room was thoughtfully designed, blending classic elegance with modern comfort. Everything felt intentional, well-maintained, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day in the city. Dining was another highlight. The restaurant and breakfast were wonderful, offering high-quality fo
