Charged me £77 for returning the car late by 17 mins. They claimed it was 30 mins. I returned the car to the car park at 12:17 pm, for a drop-off of 12 pm. We are supposed to get 30 mins' grace.

It was a mixed experience actually! Picking up the car at Europcar Köln Hauptbahnhof was a really a bad experience! No one was manning the counter, 15mins walk with your heavy luggage to a multi-stories carpark to pickup the car on the 3rd story. However on the bright side, Europcar upgraded my booking from an Audi Q3 to a BMW 218i ACT and the driving experience was excellent! Plus returning the car at Frankfurt Airport T1 was really a bliss, all done within 5mins!

A deposit of €383.67 was taken from my card. €123 was refunded. They extorted €260 from me. Their justification was that I exceeded the speed limit by 16 km, and they deducted the amount for a very small decrease in the tank level after filling it at a gas station on the way back. I have a picture of the fuel tank; they shamelessly claimed it was 1/5, but it's at most €5 or €6. Am I supposed to carry a gas can around with me? They have absolutely no business ethics. Do not rent from this company. Contract number: 137368263

I had an excellent experience at Europcar Köln Central Station on this Sunday morning 19.04.2026, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Gil. From the very beginning, Gil was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. He handled everything efficiently, explained all the details clearly, and made the whole rental process smooth and stress-free. His positive attitude and willingness to assist really stood out, especially during a busy day. It’s rare to come across such dedicated customer service—Gil went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He truly represents the company in the best possible way. Highly recommended, and a big thank you to Gil for the great service!
