I was looking for a vintage atmosphere while enjoying my coffee, and Café Stövchen delivered exactly that. I had a Milchkaffee for €3.30, which came with a glass of water and a small wafer. They only accept cash, so make sure to bring some with you. I really loved the cozy, old-fashioned environment of the café.

Laid back, relaxed cafe. We tried to order 2-3 mins after getting in, and the owner literally told us to chill out as things happen at their own pace. His words were “we’re not like Starbucks, don’t be so fast. I’ll come to you”. Very adorable overall, and the cherry cake was YUM. Highly recommend.

Truly a hidden gem inside the concrete jungle. Probably a trip to the past century for younger generations because of both the atmosphere and the menu. What can I say that has not been already said before...? If I have to describe it in a words and make thinking simple for others I'd choose "unique". Since for me just one word pays no justice to everything you can experience there, will explain mysefl, thus if in long terms, the word I must refer comes from Portuguese and it is "Saudade" a both happy(forgive being there) and sad(for not being able to return as often as you'd like) feelings mixed with yearning and nostalgia. Don't get me wrong, I am sure you will miss this place and the service whenever you comapre it to others in the future, at the same time you treasure the time you are there. I've met this place 16 years ago on one of my trips, went there with some friends and prayed board games as well. Back on those days, I was considering to be in the restaurants for living, this place made a lot of my baseline expectations for a café and service, so marked, than in later years I would question if the place was as good as I remember or it was just nostalgia. Exactly how you would imagine a coffee place in the movies. Cozy and homey atmosphere. A few tables, antique furniture and good service. We had coffee, espresso and strudel but they also have a lunch menu (or a beer if you crave it). Highly recommended.

Tucked away on a quiet street, this café is a hidden gem full of charm and character. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, with vintage furniture and leafy green plants in the windows that add a welcoming touch. The staff are incredibly friendly and made us feel at home right away. The sauerkraut soup was an absolute highlight, possibly the best I’ve ever had. There are also games available to borrow, which adds a nice, relaxed vibe to the place. Prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for a peaceful spot with great food and genuine hospitality, this café is well worth a visit.
