About Café Sehnsucht

Bio-zertifiziertes Kult Café mit 30-jähriger Geschichte. Wir beziehen unsere Produkte aus der Region und unser Fleisch von ausgewählten Höfen. Unsere Brot- und Kuchenwaren werden hausgebacken und es gibt ein leckeres Frühstück bis 14 Uhr an Wochentagen und bis 15:30 Uhr an Wochenenden. Neuerdings kann man bei uns auch aus einer kleinen Mittagskarte wählen - und zwischen Donnerstag und Samstag aus einer exquisiten Cocktailkarte. Unsere Abendkarte lockt mit saisonaler und leichter Küche, die auch Vegetarier verzaubert. Im Winter sitzt man gemütlich an unserem Ofen und im Sommer in unserem Innenhof. Der Wintergarten besticht tagsüber mit seiner Helligkeit und abends mit seinem Sternenhimmel.

I wanted to get away from the tourist dense city center, and so I found this local cafe online. I don’t know if it’s normal to wait an hour for 15 min brunch, but then again I’m not a local. I got the French toast and it was good. The air conditioning/ ventilation in this summer heat was nonexistent, together with the hour wait I didn’t quite have a good time here.

Great place for weekend brunch or lunch. Do try their warm winter special drinks. The place can be a little overcrowded on Sunday.

Very nice brunch/ breakfast. The atmosphere is lovely and staff very friendly. Great choice of great food and amazing banana bread! loved it ✨

Very well maintained place for brunch in köln. The food was definitely main reason to visit the place but the decor is also very insta worthy. Coffee options are extremely good. My favourite is caffe latte with white chocolate and French toast with bacons. The service is little slow when it is busy. But the servers are very nice and helping. I am looking forward to visit them again.

Cute, cozy and relaxing cafe tucked backed on a quiet little street in Ehrenfeld. Friendly service. Nice breakfast menu and they have a supplementary daily chalkboard menu. They also have about six cakes to choose from. Pleasant atmosphere inside or out. Great coffee, it’s from VanDyck roaster.
