We had breakfast at Café Boxenstopp on a Wednesday morning. We ordered the pancakes with yogurt and coconut and the classic waffle. The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious and the waffle was even better than the ones we had in Belgium! The young lady running the café was so kind and brought our toddler a small bowl of fruit after noticing he liked it. Such a thoughtful gesture and wonderful service. Highly recommended! Thanks to Debbie and Anan, they were so wonderful with their friendly and warm attitude, from taking our orders, to ensuring we stay comfortable in the summer heat, to allowing us to sit almost till it was their closing time without being pushy, the entire experience was fantastic. It’s a must visit place in Köln, this was our first visit to this cafe, my friend and I really loved the place. Not just that the food was great, the vibe, the setting, the ambience was very positive, that made a huge difference. We will visit again and hope we will meet Debbie and Anan. Keep it up guys!

Had brunch here with my friend and it was such a good choice. 🥹☀️ The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, the coffee was on point, and I was so happy to find great gluten-free options too! The atmosphere is super cozy and relaxed, perfect for catching up over a long brunch. Friendly staff, great vibes, and definitely a place I’d come back to. Highly recommend! 💛

Very cute little café with lots of vegan options. Friendly service, food arrived fast, coffee was delicious. Lots of pillows on the bench to sit on or lean against. I loved my spicy avocado toast, but the pancakes were really bad, both in flavor and in texture. My partner ate them but I would not have eaten them if I’d ordered them. Cannot in good conscience be called pancakes, this recipe really needs to be revised. Toilet clean and choice of paper or fabric towels which I love!

Café Boxenstopp has a fantastic atmosphere and truly amazing service — friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout. The non-milkshake drinks were excellent and really stood out. The food was good overall. While we’ve had slightly better breakfasts elsewhere, the variety here is impressive, and I went for a classic dish that was solid and well prepared. A great spot to relax and enjoy a quality breakfast experience.
