Auf zwei Etagen gibt es hier eine große Auswahl an Büchern, Spielen und weiteren Medien. Alles ist übersichtlich gestaltet und lädt zum Stöbern ein. Ein angenehmer Ort, an dem man schnell fündig wird – egal ob zum Lesen, Spielen oder einfach zum Entdecken.

I visit public libraries to read, study, and work in peace, but unfortunately, that seems impossible in Cologne’s libraries. The noise level is completely unacceptable—it feels more like a kindergarten than a library! Especially in "winter", when parents bring their children here to play indoors, the library turns into a playground rather than a space for quiet reading and learning. Of course, kids should have a warm place to play, but isn't that what actual indoor playgrounds or community centers are for? A library should be a place for focus, concentration, and education—not loud running, screaming, and playing. This is not just an issue in one location. If you check the reviews for Nippes, Kalk, and Ehrenfeld libraries, you’ll see that alot of people are complaining about the same problem. It’s frustrating that nothing has been done to address this situation. I strongly urge the management to reconsider how they enforce noise policies. A simple designated play area or stricter quiet zones would make a huge difference. Otherwise, what’s the point of calling it a library if you can’t even read in peace?!

Impossible to study or read because it’s really loud, people just don’t care about at least being abit more quiet

Excellent place! Great selection, free Wi-Fi. Some days doesn't open until later, which is a bummer, but a great place for books and CDs.

This is a very good library, but very very less English collection. The collection is so less that I have decided not to take the membership.
